PARISH WALK
Saturday 5th October 2024
A walk in the Shropshire country side
Meeting at St Peter’s Worfield, between 9.00am- 9.30am for bacon butties, tea/coffee in the Madeley Rooms.
Walkers will need to provide an emergency contact number.
The walk will commence at 10am in Beckbury & will be approx. 6 miles long. Mini buses have been organised to transport walkers to the start point.
On completion, walkers are invited to the Dog & Davenport for a specially discounted meal & further refreshment.
Walkers are advised to come properly equipped with suitable footwear, weatherproof clothing, water & snacks.
Unfortunately, no dogs are allowed due to fields containing farm animals.

BISHOP'S TEACHING EVENT

MEN'S BREAKFAST
The men of St Peter's Worfield meet on the first Saturday of every month to enjoy food and fellowship. We start at 8.30am with a fried breakfast and then listen to a guest speaker who will encourage us in our journey of faith. We always finish by 10am. Please join us if you can. ITALIAN EVENING : FRIDAY 19TH APRIL 2024
Members of the fundraising committee demonstrated their culinary skills by producing a sumptuous feast of Italian dishes for people of the parish.
Waiters Peter "Pietro" Stokes and Gary "Luigi" Timmins kept the wine flowing & an Italian themed quiz entertained everyone between courses.
Our thanks go to all involved in cooking for and organising the event.

VISIT BY BRIDGNORTH & DISTRICT ARTS SOCIETY
On Thursday 25th April 2024, Bridgnorth & District Arts Society visited St Peters Worfield to sketch and paint in and around the church.
Around a dozen artists attended, and could be seen at work using a variety of mediums, such as acrylics, pencil and oils.
With the sun shining the artists worked outside. Some artists took inspiration from the tower and porch, while others sketched the eastern and northern facades of the building.
The finished works will be available to buy at the Worfield weekend 28th -30th June 2024 with proceeds going to St Peters Church.
CEREMONY TO DEDICATE THE NEW CHURCH GATES.
On Sunday 17th March 2024 a ceremony was conducted by the Bishop of Hereford to dedicate the new church gates.
